Sarah is a litigation and regulatory attorney with over two decades of experience representing clients in complex business disputes and financial services matters. Her diverse practice focuses on commercial litigation, government investigations, and investment-related disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Sarah served as Senior Counsel in the Department of Enforcement at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and as Enforcement Counsel at the United States Securities and Exchange Commission. In those roles, she led investigations involving fraud, misrepresentation, supervision and reporting violations, and emerging risks in areas such as crypto assets. She worked closely with federal and state regulators on multi-agency matters and achieved significant enforcement outcomes, including monetary recoveries for defrauded investors.
Early in her career, Sarah was a commercial litigation attorney at a large national law firm, where she defended businesses and individuals in complex civil and securities-related litigation. Her work included representing broker-dealers and investment advisors in litigation and arbitration, resolving contractual disputes for corporations, and managing investigations tied to fiduciary duties and compliance failures.
Sarah earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. She holds a B.A. from Emory University and is a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP)® through partnership between the Wharton School and FINRA.
Originally from South Florida, Sarah moved to New Orleans in 2003. She and her musician husband, Chris, live in Mid-City with their menagerie of dogs and cats.
