Patrick is a founding member of the firm and an experienced commercial litigator who has handled a wide variety of commercial and complex civil litigation over the course of his three decades in practice. Patrick’s practice focuses on commercial contract and business tort actions, shareholder derivative suits, real estate litigation, construction claims, employment disputes, bad faith insurance claims, legal malpractice claims, and trust litigation. He has won a wide array of highly contentious business and commercial cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal courts. He has also successfully prosecuted and defended class and mass actions.

Obtained multi-million dollar jury award for shipping franchisees in a nation-wide mass action lawsuit against the world’s largest logistics company.
Represented minority owners in litigation over ownership and control over two professional sports teams valued at over a billion dollars.
Successfully represented property owners in multiple lawsuits against developers, design engineers, and contractors stemming from the development of a Louisiana shopping center.
Successfully defended majority owners of a regional grocery store chain in shareholder derivative litigation.
Prevailed in numerous bid protest lawsuits for Louisiana contractors.
Obtained millions of dollars for insureds by way of jury verdicts and settlements in bad faith insurance lawsuits.
Represented numerous auto dealers in administrative proceedings and litigation against auto manufacturers.
Defended developers and attorneys in class action cases.
Served as litigation expert in legal malpractice claims.
