Billy has successfully defended corporations, executives, public officials, professional athletes, doctors, attorneys, and other individuals and entities in a wide range of criminal investigations and prosecutions in both state and federal court. His representations have involved various substantive areas of law, including fraud, money laundering, tax, bribery, public corruption, antitrust, and environmental charges; and various industries, including financial services, oil and gas, health care, technology, construction, and media.
In his civil litigation practice, Billy handles contentious business and commercial cases for both plaintiffs and defendants in state and federal court. He also regularly represents doctors, lawyers, and other professionals in disciplinary matters, ethics adjudications, and other administrative and licensing proceedings.
Before joining the firm, Billy served as an Assistant United States Attorney for four years and clerked for Judge Edith Brown Clement on the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
